Last week, a delegation from WestlionCo made a courtesy call to the Rwanda High Commission ahead of the upcoming Africa Entrepreneurship Accelerator Summit 2024. This meeting aimed to set the stage for meaningful discussions regarding youth development on the continent and to garner collaborative support for pending projects and the summit, scheduled to take place at the British Council on November 06, 2024.

The delegation, led by WestlionCo’s CEO, Ms. Gifty Boatemaa Annan, and accompanied by Patrick Quaye, Director of Educational Partnerships, underscored the critical role of youth engagement in shaping Africa’s future.

During the meeting, Matthew Rwahigi, Executive Assistant to the High Commissioner, H.E Rosemary Mbabazi highlighted the High Commission’s commitment to empowering young leaders and fostering sustainable development across the continent.

Both parties expressed enthusiasm for Africa’s youth bulge and the continent’s developmental blueprint (Agenda 2063), and also recognized the Africa Entrepreneurship Accelerator Summit as a pivotal platform for youth across Africa to voice their aspirations and solutions to contemporary challenges.

Representatives from the Rwanda High Commission, led by Matthew Rwahigi, commended WestlionCo for its efforts to bridge the gap between Africa’s young population and the continent’s development vision.
