We are thrilled to announce the confirmation of Ohenewa’s appointment as a Global Advisory Board Member of this prestigious network. She joins us as a distinguished financial services leader with over two decades of experience spanning commercial and investment banking in Ghana and the UK.
Ohenewa brings a wealth of expertise in corporate banking, strategic management, mergers and acquisitions, and innovative financial solutions. She has played pivotal roles in transforming financial institutions, including guiding Union Savings and Loans Company into a universal bank, establishing Fidelity Bank Ghana’s Commercial Banking Unit, and developing retail and SME products that have reshaped banking services.
Her extensive consulting experience includes advising on capital raising, restructuring financially distressed companies, and providing strategic management guidance to businesses on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) in the UK. Ohenewa’s blend of hands-on leadership, international exposure, and commitment to innovation makes her a unique asset to the Global Advisory Board.
A Chartered Investment Analyst and member of the Chartered Global Investment Analysts (CGIA), she holds an LLB from Mountcrest University College, Ghana, and an MBA in Financial Management from the University of Hull, UK. With her exceptional experience and insight, Ohenewa is poised to contribute significantly to the network’s mission of driving impact, growth, and excellence.
Ohenewa has expressed her excitement at joining HERizon Africa and pledged to serve as a springboard to propel the organization toward its broader vision and core mandate. She has, however, challenged HERizon’s frontliners to resist the temptation of mediocrity and to never succumb to complacency in their pursuit of excellence.
